Rationale of the Convention Activities

IIC 7 is conducted with an appreciation of having IGO members, friends and families come together to participate in IGO matters and concerns towards the accomplishment of our organizational vision and mission. This is a business meeting which starts after the opening ceremonies and ends with a farewell party. IIC 7 as a general assembly hopes to complement IGO elders and members internet exchanges and meetings, confirm and ratify earlier decisions made as well as culminate and resolve related matters and issues. In IIC7, the activities are of IGO concerns so it is encouraged that IGO members local and overseas to make efforts to attend IIC7. Likewise, non IGO members are invited to join the gathering.

 

The consultation is a business convention of the IGO which includes

 

1) Discussion and resolution of developmental concerns and issues.

2) Workshops on the various Igorot dances, music, art, craft and culinary arts.

3) Organizational concerns of ratifying the CBL, electing the new COE, rendering reports, action planning and others.

4) IGO Youth Assembly

5) Setting the stage for future conventions/consultations

6) Pre and post consultation activities
