7TH IGOROT INTERNATIONAL CONSULTATION Theme: “Nurturing our culture and resources to chart and secure our destiny” Hosted by IGO Philippines and partners Banaue Hotel, Banaue, Ifugao, Philippines April 12 to 15, 2008
Rationale of the Consultation Activities: The Seventh Igorot International Consultation (IIC7) is conducted with an appreciation of having Igorot Global Organization (IGO) members, friends, families and others come together to participate in IGO and Cordillera matters and concerns towards the accomplishment of organizational vision and mission.
IIC7 as a general assembly hopes to complement IGO elders and members internet exchanges and meetings, confirm and ratify earlier decisions made as well as culminate and resolve related matters and issues. Likewise, non-IGO members are invited to join the consultation as a gathering of Cordillerans where broader concerns are discussed.
The consultation includes 1. Discussion, resolution and strategic planning of developmental concerns and issues . 2. Workshops on the various Igorot dances, music, art, craft and culinary arts. 3. Organizational concerns of ratifying the CBL, electing the new COE, rendering reports, action planning and others. 4. IGO Youth exposure and general assembly 5. Setting the stage for the future conventions/consultations 6. Pre and post consultation activities
